Yajaira Sesmas is a Chicana artist, born and raised in Pacoima, California. Yajaira’s work centers around the concept of Love and Revolution.  Her work is inspired by feminine energy and centers brown women in the spotlight.  It takes a surrealist tone so as to express the mythical nature of women as creators of the world.  Her work also draws elements from nature to espress the relationship between earth and the feminine.  Yajaira’s favorite inspirations are Magritte, Kahlo, Dali and Klimt.
