The CalWORKs Homeless Assistance Program offers temporary/ perm-anent housing support to eligible families receiving or applying for CalWORKs. If you are currently receiving assistance and declare home-lessness, you may qualify for help with a security deposit and first month’s rent. If not eligible, you would need to apply for CalWORKs first to receive these benefits. The program also provides up to 16 days of emergency shelter and aid in preventing eviction.
