Kristin A. Johnson believes in the power of relationships, hard work, and excellence to achieve goals and impact her community. This strong belief stems from her being a native of the Crenshaw Community of South Los Angeles, where she has worked to empower underserved individuals. In her current role as a Senior Project Associate at A Community of Friends (ACOF), a non-profit affordable and permanent supportive housing developer, she has led affordable housing development projects to create housing for vulnerable populations over the last six years.

As a Black woman in the development space, she quickly noticed the severe lack of women and people of color professionals in affordable housing and the architecture, construction, and engineering (ACE) fields more broadly. This led her to seek out opportunities to correct this issue and cultivate the next generation of female leaders in this field. In her professional and personal life, Kristin always emphasizes serving and empowering others, embracing diversity, and living life passionately.
