Artist Name:  Janet Rodriguez Instagram: @_janetwhy_ Janet Rodrigues (she/her/ella) is a multi-disciplinary artist and storyteller from South Central Los Angeles.  She first got her first taste in art from watching her Uncle create backyard tattoos with a self-made tattoo machine in their small apartment in South Central. This is where she began her journey with making any type of art accessible to herself.  Her work focuses on romanticizing brown womanhood and the reclamation of nature's magic in urban spaces.  Her focus is primarily on the creation of community-oriented artwork and public art in places that can serve to empower the community.  She has assisted in mural creation and strives to use her art to embolden her community to reconnect and flourish in spaces they have been historically kept from.

Artist Name:  Yajaira Sesmas Instagram:  @_hypnoticdreamx_ Yajaira Sesmas is a Chicana artist, born and raised in Pacoima, California. Yajaira's work centers around the concept of Love and Revolution.  Her work is inspired by feminine energy and centers brown women in the spotlight.  It takes a surrealist tone so as to express the mythical nature of women as creators of the world.  Her work also draws elements from nature to espress the relationship between earth and the feminine.  Yajaira's favorite inspirations are Magritte, Kahlo, Dali and Klimt.
