Ivana Munguia

Climate Justice Organizer

Ivana Munguia is a proud South Central Los Angeles native and first-generation Latina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she also minored in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and Public Affairs, graduating in 2022.

Ivana has been deeply involved in advancing mobility and climate justice in Los Angeles. As an Outreach Ambassador for the BlueLA electric car-sharing program, she worked to raise awareness among East Hollywood residents and businesses about this affordable, eco-friendly transportation option designed to serve underserved communities.

Continuing her commitment to sustainable mobility, Ivana currently leads the E-Bike Lending Library at T.R.U.S.T. South LA. She organizes and supports community members interested in using e-bikes, connecting them to the South Central Power Up program, and ensuring participants complete free safety trainings to confidently navigate South LA streets.

Ivana also plays a key role in the South LA Eco-Lab, a $35 million investment through the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) initiative. She has supported T.R.U.S.T. South LA’s community engagement efforts by helping lead canvassing campaigns, organizing Earth Day community forums, and spreading awareness about climate resources available to South LA residents.

Through her work, Ivana continues to strengthen T.R.U.S.T. South LA’s leadership in land stewardship, climate justice advocacy, and active transportation.

In her free time, Ivana enjoys drawing, discovering new music, rewatching her favorite comfort shows, and teaching herself to play the guitar.
