Neyda Quintanilla

Community Liaison Manager

Neyda Quintanilla was born and raised in South Los Angeles and was inspired to pursue a career in politics and law by her lived experiences with racial and social injustice and the personal impact of the 2010 housing crisis. She began her advocacy work as a volunteer with the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE), where she engaged in direct action organizing and developed a deep understanding of housing inequality, predatory lending, and the speculative housing market.

She earned her B.A. in Political Science from California State University, Northridge in 2012 and later obtained a Paralegal Studies Certificate in 2016. Neyda currently serves as the Community Liaison Manager at T.R.U.S.T. South LA, where she acts as a first point of contact for residents in need of community resources and programs. During her tenure as the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) Manager, she helped to successfully distribute $6.4 million in aid to South LA residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. She also supports tenants in navigating legal resources and addressing issues such as illegal evictions, housing disrepair, etc.

Neyda contributed to efforts that led to the passage of Measure A in Los Angeles County in 2024 and remains committed to community empowerment and tenant rights. In her free time, she enjoys attending concerts, sporting events, amusement parks, and exploring new places around Los Angeles with her loved ones.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones at concerts, amusement parks and exploring new places that Los Angeles offers.
