We are pleased to announce that T.R.U.S.T. South L.A.'s very own Edgar Campos has been appointed by Supervisor Holly Mitchell into the Central Santa Monica Bay Watershed Area Steering Committee. His appointment selection will be included in the next CSMB WASC board of supervisors agenda. Central Santa Monica Bay Watershed Area is located on the western edge of Los Angeles County. The Steering Committee will develop funding plans and recommendations to provide water quality, water supply, and community enhancement benefits to the region.
We are pleased to announce that T.R.U.S.T. South L.A.'s very own Oscar Monge has been appointed by Los Angeles City Council President Nury Martinez into the Climate Emergency Mobilization Commission (CEMC). With the participation of various communities of Los Angeles, the CEMC will coordinate and facilitate meaningful and equitable stakeholder engagement for addressing emergency-level mobilization to respond to the climate crisis, disproportionate harm to disadvantaged communities, and ensure a safe and just city for all.
