September 2021 Newsletter FOR THE COMMMUNITY Thank you to CA. Secretary of Business, Consumer Services & Housing Lourdes Castro Ramirez, CA. Dept of Housing and Community Dev. Gustavo Velasquez, and CA. Dept. Director of Finance Assistance Geoffrey Ross for highlighting our work.  We are providing application assistance to low-income households that fall behind their rent or are in need to pay their utilities through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). Our Food Distribution Program is still ongoing! Come by at T.R.U.S.T. South L.A.'s office every Monday and Thursdays from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm T.R.U.S.T. South LA's Associate Director and CLT Manager Diana Jimenez together with Liberty CLT Zerita Jones shared their knowledge as a panelist of this special meeting- the Empowerment Congress’ Equitable Economic, Environment, and Community Development Committee. They provided an understanding of community land trusts, highlight their value to communities in tackling issues such as affordability, displacement, and homelessness prevention, and illuminate the work of existing CLTs in Los Angeles.
