EVENT AT T.R.U.S.T. South L.A.

Thank you to Senator Sydney Kamlager who took time out of her day to join us during our Meal Program with Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) on May 7, 2021. Senator Kamlager is a key partner on SB679, through which we are looking to establish a county-wide affordable housing solutions agency. FOR THE COMMUNITY

We don't have enough affordable housing, and we need a better system that can deliver for low income people.

SB 679 will create a new, independent countywide agency with the power to directly create homes that people can afford and protect renters in all 88 cities across L.A. County—something that can help address the racist legacy of housing in our communities.

SB 679 is out of committee and now must be approved by the entire state senate ASAP before it goes to the assembly.

T.R.U.S.T. South LA is excited to welcome our Emergency Rental Assistance Program Manager, Siris Barrios, and Outreach Coordinator, Karely De La Cruz, to the team. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is available to LA County residents and landlords who live in unincorporated LA County or smaller cities (not City of LA).
